Project Confidence Walk as if you know where you’re going |
Walk with Others Especially if you’re upset, intoxicated or out-of-it |
Be Alert Check out who is in front of you and behind you |
Have Money with You For a taxi or a phone call
Introduce New Trade If you leave a bar, club or cruising area with someone you’ve just met, introduce them to a friend, acquaintance or bartender. Make sure the trade is aware that other people know you are leaving together. Tell your trade you live with a flatmate, even if it is not true.
Trust Your Instincts Remove yourself from a situation if you think something is wrong. Cross the street, change direction or grab a taxi |

The Queensland Police would like people (onlookers or the victim) to sent more information about offenders' descriptions, such as their registration number, model of car, time of the event, the location or/and the personal features of the offender.
For example, the picture below has been seen in a New Farm shopping centre. The person who owns this vehicle is breaking the law of vilification. Please let us not allow this silence hate crime exist in our community. If you do see this vehicle in a public space like a shopping centre, please send a photo (mobilephone), time, date, registration number and location to LGBTI.BCD@police.qld.gov.au or email it to walksafe and complete an online report, then Walksafe will forward this onto the Queensland Police.
